Watering Restrictions

October 15TH, through November 23RD

Due to the seasonal PGE and PCWA canal maintenance program, October 15 through November 23, our irrigation allotment will be dramatically reduced. (see attached notice).

This may result in an 80 percent reduction of our irrigation water supply.

If residents with odd number addresses irrigate on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. In contrast, residents with even-numbered addresses irrigate on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, and you reduce your station time in half. Hopefully, we’ll get through this until we get some rain.Β

We are blessed to have irrigation water; again, this is an annual occurrence.Β

Thanks for your support.

Irrigation Reduction 2023-24

Please REDUCE your irrigation circuit times

PCWA has now switched over to their winter delivery allocations of our agricultural water. Water delivery will drop from 865 GPM to 165 GPM. That is an 81% decrease. Worse yet, the canal is off every other day for maintenance.

All common area water will be turned off including OLRA and all lakes. Also flow through ponds at Baummer, McArthur, Thacker, and Barrett need to stop. With the warm weather, Oak Lake will drop QUICKLY, and the Oak Lake pump is the only pump that supplies our irrigation water.

Accordingly,Β please REDUCE your irrigation circuit times. It’s cooler at night now so evaporation is no longer as much of an issue. If you do not know how to change your sprinkler clock, please ask your lawn maintenance person to change it for you. The Oak Lake water is a shared community resource. Please do your part to ration your use so that there is enough water for all.
